Question Access 2010 and online presence

    Hi,

This may be a really simple question but here goes. I have an application written in vba that uses Microsoft Scripting Runtime. I have added it to a Access database form button and it works fine on my computer. Now I want to put this application online to share and I was told that with Access 2010 I would need a web host with Sharepoint Server?

    Q1) Is this correct?

Q2) Are there any 'free' services that I can at least try to host this?

Q3) Would I be able to set up Access so that it can installed on my computer (or network drive) where the users only see the end-user form?

    Any insight is much appreciated.

    Hi,

These may help answer your question.

For #3 above, you do all the code in the new (NON VBA) macro language in Access. This subset of VBA then is supported by the HTML on the Sharepoint server. What is on your personal machine isn't seen by the person who sees the website.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

    Hi Marvin,

Thank you for looking into this. I would be really interested in option #3. Currently all my code is in the 'Form code' rather an a standard module (which I am guessing is the same as the worksheet-level code in Excel). Do you know this would be achieved?
