    Displaying A Query A Form

    Hi,

I know this is going to sound like an easy query but I'm having great difficulty with it.

In the attached database, I've created 'Query1' and I'm trying to display it's value of '23' in 'Form1'.

I've tried creating a bound OLE Object and a Textbox and using Query1 as the Control Source under Properties.

However, the value is not displayed. OLE Object gives me nothing and I get a Name Error Message with the Textbox.

    I'm missing something.

Please find attached ZIP file containing Database.

Any help to display the result of Query 1 in Form 1 would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Jaz

    Hi Alan,

Thank you so much for your response. You were able to do what I was trying to achieve.

Please excuse my lack of knowledge, but what changes did you make to what I'd already done? IE What were the steps to get the desired results?

    Thank you.

    Jaz

    Hi Alan,

Please excuse me because I'm a genuine novice at Access.

However, are the Record Source and the Control Source the same thing? How do you change the Record Source to the Query?
I tried through Control Source by using Building an Expression relating to the Query. I had no luck but I'm not sure how
    it works.

    Thank you,

    Jaz

    Hi Alan,

I'm sorry. I worked out how to do it by clicking on the form square button and then creating a Record Source.

Access seems like such a powerful tool. Thank you for helping me in my early stages of using it.

    Thank you,

    Jaz
