    Methods of learning for Access

    Hello,

Apologies to the mods for the thread title and location if it is incorrect.

I class myself as a beginner user of Access.

What I would like to know, is there any courses online I can sign up to improve my knowledge of Access

Does anyone know or suggestions to any online courses and books I could read.

    Kind regards

    Russ

    Start here

Google or You tube MS Access Tutorials. There are hundreds of them on the net. As far as books, go to Amazon and look up MS Access. You will be surprised by the number. Avoid the Dummies books.

If you are working for a company who will pay for this training, I would highly recommend lynda.com. They have a great 12 hour course which will take you to being incredibly efficient in Access. It is broken down into Basics, Queries, Forms and Reports, and VBA/Macros. The instructors are professionals, where on YouTube they are usually just random people. YouTube is also free, though, so whatever your preference is.

I learned Access by following their example projects you work with though the course.

It is expensive though, so if you are paying out of pocket I would not recommend it.
