MS Query - Left Outer Join to Subquery possible??

    Result I'm looking for:
Show end of week sales vs. beginning of week inventory with product definition.
    Tool I'm using:
Excel MS Query (.tab files as my data)
Files: inventory file, sales file, product description file

Currently I'm joining all three tables together which works fine but the issue arrises when I have 0 sales for the week on a product I get a result of 0 inventory for that week.

Therefore I'm looking to perform an Inner Join between the sales table and definition table, then perform a Left Outer Join from my stock table to the subquery.

    is this possible???

Could this be a NZ kind of answer? If you have no sales and therefore a NULL for this weeks sales it might be null. It might work if you had a Zero instead of a Null???

I have no idea what the problem is either but this feels like stuff that's confused me before.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.
