How to change wording on and automated e-mail via Access

    Hi,

we have an auto generated 'send quote' on our Access db,how do I change what/how it reads, at the moment it is set uplike this:

Please Login or Register to view this content.

Instead of the mail saying "Ref your recent enquiry, please find attached our quotation."

I would like it to say:

    Hi [fill in name]

With respect to your recent enquiry,

Very best regards [fill in my name]

    is this at all possible,

    Kind regards,

    Lurch

Your post does not comply with Rule 3 of our Forum RULES. Use code tags around code.

    Posting code between
Please Login or Register to view this content.
tags makes your code much easier to read and copy for testing, it also maintains VBA formatting.

Highlight your code and click the # icon at the top of your post window. More information about these and other tags can be found here

    Hi Alan,

I have copied and pasted your code in place of the original code, the line starting with strmessage and the next line turn red. If I then save and click the send quote button an error message 'Compile error: Variable not defined' appears highlighting 'YourTextBoxContainingAddressee'

    What am I doing wrong?

You need to put your text box name that holds the variable that you want the email sent to. This, I assume would be a control (text box name) in your form. There is no text box named "yourTextBoxContainingAddressee" You need to change this to the real text box name.
