MS Access 2003 unable to recognize date because of microsecond

    Hi,

I have database in a text file which contains a date column. While I am linking this data to ms access 2003, access is not recognizing date column as date because of microsecond in date. below is the sample date format.

    REPORT_DATE
    2013-11-29 08:30:00.0
    2013-11-29 09:45:00.0

    This is a daily requirement.

Re: MS Access 2003 unable to recognize date because of microsecond

Is the text file linked as it changes regularly? An approach would be to link it as a string, and have a routine to make a new table, dropping the microsecond, or to read the text file via vba and then change it??
    Hope this helps

Sometimes its best to start at the beginning and learn VBA & Excel.

Please dont ask me to do your work for you, I learnt from Reading books, Recording, F1 and Google and like having all of this knowledge in my head for the next time i wish to do it, or wish to tweak it.
