help!.xlsxI want to make a single graph from two data sets that have individual dates.
E.g.
Data set 1
1. January 2010 2. january 2010 ... 10. december 2010 etc
10 15 ... 10 etc
Data set 2
1. January 2010 ... 1. January 2015 etc
200 ... 200 etc
How can i do this ?
I have uploaded excel sheet

I would use a scatter chart rather than a line chart: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...478.aspx?CTT=1 That way, you can have two separate series and each series can have its own "x values".

Then I must not be understanding at all what you are trying to do with this graph. Can you describe it in more detail? Maybe even sketch it out by hand?
Okay, I will try. I have daily observations in one data set. I have pasted it into the Excel sheet.
I want the yearly data observation from the other data set in that same graph.
The yearly data set have date 1. Of January Year (no other dates)
I want a graph where the dates match in BOTH data sets in a single graph.

As suggested use xy-scatter chart.

Do you know why excel adds the first dates where i have no data in you sheet? happen for me also
That is just the autoscale algorithm determining min/max values. You can change that by fixing the min/max scale values.
Yep, you are right again.It is just weird that the autoscale works so bad !
