Coding Heading in a chart

Hi,
I have completed a program for crunching gps tracks from skydiving jumps.
I get from it metrics and a few charts.
The program charts altitudes, horizontal speed, fall rate...
I need help for heading display.

I am open to suggestions.

Maybe a way to go is just to display an arrow (point up = north, down south and so on).
But I need then to translate the heading into an small arrow on the plot.
And a least 36 arrows are needed.
How can it be achieved ?

I am attaching a typical chart from the macro.

The file is split in two because it is exceeding file size limits.

There are two things you can do!

First of all, to get TEXT in a Chart Title, you can enter the Heading you want on your data sheet, and using Chart Tools, select Layout, choose Chart Title from the Labels Section, and in the Formula Bar, type the = sign, then click on the cell with your title. This will appear on your chart.

With your ARROWS - the best thing to do is to go to the INSERT section of the Layout Ribbon - choose SHAPES. There are a handful of arrows you can choose from. You can vary the arrow in size, but the best feature is that there is a green dot that allows you to rotate the arrow through 360 degrees, so you can point it any way you like.

I should have mentionned that I am using Excel 2003.

I did not get the first solution. What do you mean by going to TEXT ?

The second option is not going to work.

I am looking to encode the heading with altitude and speed plots.
All the heading values are in a column (typically a couple of thousand rows long).

One option would be to plot heading values with a symbol that would visually show the heading direction.
So the code need to read the heading and according its value, select the symbol pointing to the corresponding heading.

That is the best path I can think of to solve the issue. But I do not know yet how to implement it.

My suggestions were based on an Excel version XL2007+. XL2003 doesn't have the ability to add text to the Chart Title from the worksheet.

As for the direction arrows - I'm afraid I cannot offer a suggestion.
