    Calculating usage over time ranges

    All,

    I have a CDR (Call Detail Report) that shows conf room usage over time. There are columns for the following;
    Conf id, conf title, start date, start time, end time, duration and room name

    This is all for a given month.

    What I would like to do is create a pivot report that shows me how many rooms were in use during each hour. For example, from 8am to 9am, 9-10, 10-11, etc, on each day of the month, how many rooms were in use. So if a room start time was 7am and it ended at 10am, Iit should be counted in the 8am, and 9am time frame since it was in use during those hours.

    Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks
    Mike

    Will the start and end time always be on the same day (less than 24 hours)?

    Yes, the start and end time for any particular meeting will be within the same calendar day.

    Thanks

    Adding helper columns into the raw data is the only way I know how to do this.
    Hopefully this will work.
