    Choosing latest set of data

Let say I have the following data:

    Code Price Date
    A 1.00 27/12/2013
    A 1.05 03/01/2014
    A 1.20 10/01/2014
    A 0.95 17/01/2014
    A 3.95 24/01/2014

    B 1.00 27/12/2013
    B 1.05 03/01/2014
    B 1.20 10/01/2014
    B 0.95 17/01/2014

    C 1.00 27/12/2013
    C 1.05 03/01/2014
    C 1.20 10/01/2014
    C 3.95 24/01/2014

For EACH CODE... I want the pivot or some type of formula to produce the following results: which the latest price according to the date.

    Code Price Date
    A 3.95 24/01/2014
    B 0.95 17/01/2014
    C 3.95 24/01/2014

Assuming your data is in B3:E17, and your summary table starts in G3
    - In I3, Use this ARRAY formula to return the date (use CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER):

    1. You didn't enter the first formula as an array function (using CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER).
    2. You referenced the 2nd column in scenarios where I was referencing the 3rd column, and vice versa:
