I am looking at a pivot table. If I double click a total I can get the full expanded data table, but otherwise I can unhide every singe sheet, including veryhidden, and I can't find the original data sheet anywhere. I have also looked to see if I could find a sheet that extended beyond it's apparent used range and run searches for data that I can find on the data sheet when I have exploded a total value. Can one create a pivot table and then delete the original data sheet and still show all the original data later on?
How the heck is it done?
Edit: Uhg. I now see it is possible, though I wouldn't have thought it. Once the table is created you can blow away the original data source yet the pivot table retains all the original data for expanding. Interesting.
