Pivot Filters to change simulataneously with other pivot filters

Hello,

I have 3 pivot tables and with 3 filters each (they are all the same filters). I just want to change 1 of the filters for each of the pivot table (meaning the other 2 stay the same for all of the pivots). Is it possible to have a filter change automatically to match a filter in another pivot?

Any and all help would be great!

take a look at slicers....if all the filters have a common dataset then slicers may give you what you want....

I've actually never heard of them so maybe that will help. How do they work? Is it a simple answer or would you need a dataset to work with?

it's definitely easier to explain with a dataset and you can search the internet for how-to's....basically there are filters that connect commonly used datasets to do exactly what you want....

Actually, that worked really well. Thanks. For the second part of the question, is it possible for 2 filters on one pivot to work in sync with another pivot?

Okay, so my scenario is for car manufacturing. The numbers are arbitrary so don't look too deep into that. Essentially, I want a clean summary page shown in the attached file. The costs sheet I want to be hidden along with the dataset so it is just the summary sheet visible. So what I am hoping for, I was hoping there would be a way to change the year in the Chevy summary table and have it simultaneously change in the Ford summary page, the Chevy cost pivot, and the Ford cost pivot.Car Example.xlsx

will this work?.....I have hidden the worksheets you requested....I used slicers and slicers connection....you use the slicers as filters. You really don't "need" the individual filters on the pivot tables unless you want to pivot something outside the slicers.....give it a whirl....

Hold off on testing this....I have one change to make

Okay, give this a try....It has a silcer setup for the date....and it connects all four PT's....in choosing some of the dates you get #N/A in your summaries, I believe there may not be any data for those years.....I think
