excel Dashboard???

You are trying to start with a solution before you know what the problem is. A dashboard can mean almost anything.

The start for something like this is to first ask four questions that have nothing to do with Excel:

1. What process do you want to develop a dashboard for? Investments? Retail sales? Hard goods manufacturer? Services company?
2. What do you want to use your dashboard for? Informing customers? Briefing executives? Making purchase decisions?
3. What data do you need to support the purpose stated in #2?
4. How should that data be presented to meet the goal in #2

Only after you have answered these four questions can you even begin to talk about Excel.
