Format markers based on an on/off column

    Hello,

I have a spreadsheet with 4 voltage value series (Bus voltage, two capacitor bank voltages, and a meter voltage). My issue is that I would like the markers on the chart for the capacitor bank voltages to be formatted according to another open/closed column of the capacitor banks. I would like the markers to be hollow if the capacitor bank is open and filled is the capacitor bank is closed. Is this possible without using VBA?

    Thanks,
    Charles Murphy

You can fill cells based on a cell's value using Conditional Formatting

    See the example attached.

    TMS,

I am sorry, but how does this help me with the chart markers? Here is an example of my spreadsheet. What I am trying to do is format the C320 voltage markers to make them hollow if the capacitor is open and filled if the capacitor is closed. (C377 is always open, therefore no extra formatting is needed).

Probably not at all. In the absence of a sample workbook, I completely misunderstood the requirement.

Maybe Andy Pope can help you. Suggest you PM him and ask him if he will take a look. Include the link but don't try to take the question offline.

You can use 2 additional series based on formula.

New series have no lines just markers.
