Hello,
New to pivot tables and having an odd error. My table wont sum negative numbers. I created a pivot table with "Date" as rows and "P&L" as values. Here are pictures and the file. I get zeros on dates with negative numbers in "P&L"
If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate the help.

It's because most of your P&L figures are not numbers. They are text. You need to force excel to recognise them as numbers. Copy and paste them with a -- at the fron t is one way. See the modified sheet.
