Pivot Tables - How do you apply a new colour to one of the preset styles

    Hi,

I am creating pivot tables and using a colour theme for each different one (as I have a number of different categories of data and want to make them distinct). However, there are only so many preset styles with only 7 different colours. I need to use one of the preset styles but apply a new colour to it. Is this possible without having to create a new template from scratch?

    Thanks
    MissDB

You may duplicate style (right click it) and then modify its colours.

    Thanks

I understand now. I do not think there is easy solution for this. It maybe possible with VBA - I have not tried this before.

Here is code which may help - you must format one range of cells with colours you wish to use as base colour for new styles and update code to use this range, also you must change to use which built-in pivot style you wish to use as base:

This code is only to create styles - it does not have to remain in the workbook.
