Pivot table multiplying a summed value with a column row

    Pivot table problem

Via a calculated field formula, I'm having a problem trying to multiply a column value with a row label, not sure if this is possible.

To be precise, the column row cell contains a fixed Square metre figure relating to a product, the summed column value contains the total amount sold, so im trying to work out the total square metres of the product sold.

Could the square metre figure be incorporated in the column values?

    Any suggestions?

Unless the square metre field is a data field, you can't use it as one in a calculated field - nor would you actually want to as your calculation would end up as SUM(all the square metres)*SUM(all the costs per square metre). You need to do the calculations in the source data.

ok thanks, the values in the column value are "count" to give me a total amount sold, other than adding extra columns outside the pivot table to multiply the total amount sold by the square metre, (fixed row value), is there any other way of obtaining the total square metreage within the pivot table??

Really, you need to do the calculations in the source data since you want row level multiplication, not aggregate level.
