    Pivot Table Sub Totals

    Is it possible to SubTotal the inner-most field (Row or Column) at the Outermost field Level?

    If I have a pivot table that has
    Value = count of people
    RowLabel1=Month
    RowLabel2=City
    RowLabel3=Gender
    ColumnLabel=HairColor

    I can get a subtotal of each gender at the City Level
    and I can get a sum of all the cities at the month level

    But how do I Get a sum of each Gender at the Month Level (currently I am adding another pivot table and arranging it differnetly, but if I can do it all in one table I would rather do that.)?
    Thanks

    If I understand you correctly, the answer is no. You can get grand totals for the innermost field (gender), but not a subtotal by month.

    Thanks Rory. That may (or may not) work. How can I get a grand total for the innermost field?

    Right-click it, choose Field Settings and set the Subtotal to Sum (or whichever function you want) rather than Automatic.
