Making an out of control process look different in SPC chart

So I have a set of data and if there are seven points that are all above or below the mean, then the process is said to be out of control. I would like to find a way to make those seven points stand out on a line graph.

Add another series that is based on formula where only out of control data points are displayed. The in control data points are given the result of the NA() function.
You can then format this series as requried.

I did that, but if seven points in a row are all above or below the mean, then I need all seven points to stand out.

You are already using the technique to highlight above/below CL. What you need now is a formula to output values for above/below Average.

Your problem is more a forumla, possible VBA. Post a revised question in the formula section on how to get values, rather than NA(), displayed for a consecutive run of values.

It's not a super slick formula but it appears to work.

Thanks! That does work, at least on my laptop. The computers where I work only have excel 2007, but at least there a way to do it. I appreciate your hard work!
