Using a segment from a pie chart to create another pie chart

I have data that I have broken into 2 segments in a pie chart. Of each of these 2 segments, I have further data that I need to add and then break down the new segments further into another mini chart. Is this at all possible? My use of charts is not so advanced but I understand it is possible to either display this data in the form of a tornado chart or pie of pie.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

Are you wanting help manually creating a second pie chart from ONE slice of another? as in the first chart is 100% and the top piece is 37% and yoru second chart you want that 37% broken out into 100%?

Yes please. That's exactly what I'm after and further, out of the 37% that is broken out into 100%, a further chart with 8 segments at 100%. Much appreciated.

Okay :-) and apologies if I am not explaining myself very well. Basically, I have created a simple pie chart but I need to break down the values further. Can I attach the spreadsheet for you so it makes it easier for me to explain? Thanks so much in advance.

Ha, sorry if I am not explaining myself well. I hop on here from time to time inbetween my work and meetings so I make quick comments then check later.

Anyway, what I meant was I cannot really assist (aside from sending you google links) without a sample workbook attached.

If you see my signature in my first post in this thread, it will walk you through how to attach a spreadsheet.

In your attached spreadsheet, you should make sure there is no sensitive data (names, phones etc etc) and ideally you want to include a proposed sample solution layout so we know exactly what you are trying to accomplish. The idea is we get an example of exactly what you are trying to accomplish with representative data (and layout) so our solution lines up with your needs.

Frequently people post a question, we solve it, then the question gets re-framed because something was left out in the first pass and we might not have time to get to it until whenever we have free time again. Its not necessarily unavoidable as solutions can cause new problems, its just worth mentioning to help save you time and whatnot

Hopefully that is more clear.

Hi again,

I have attached the file. The workbook is sectioned into 3 Parts: Part 1 is a basic chart I would like to show data from the 3 sections into one chart, either a pie of pie, pie of bar or tornado chart. Any help would be really appreciated.
