Placing Data Markers on Line Chart

I am having difficulty figuring out how to place specific data markers on a line chart (Water Levels) that has three separate lines corresponding to yearly data.

I would like to have one individual data mark corresponding to the specific graph year date (H2:H4) on each the three graph lines.

    Thanks for your help!!

It is not clear to me exactly what you are trying to do here. As a guess, I wonder if you are trying to do something like this (http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/FormatMinMax.html ) format special points kind of thing.

Re: Placing Data Markers on Line Chart

I have copied the Peltier example mentioned and I think I can use/modify it to suit my needs. (I have a modified file to attach, but do not see where to do that in this "Reply to Thread") But, using Excel 2013 I cannot find these mentioned steps by clicking on the legend:

"Click on the legend, then click on the legend key for the Max series (the short green line segment). Press F1 to bring up the Format Series dialog. On the Patterns tab, select an appropriate marker (if you want to show a marker), and set the line to None. Repeat this with the Min series."

F1 brings up Help screen. No "Patterns" option appears. Maybe these instructions apply to earlier version of Excel. Thanks.

The idea behind this step is to bring up the "format data series" dialog. There are several ways to access this dialog:

    1) With the legend key selected, right click on the legend key and select "format data series"
    2) right click on the data series itself and select "format data series"
    3) Select the desired data series from the list of available chart elements in the "format" tab and select "format selection".
    and so on.

Try those methods, or any others you are aware of to bring up the "format data series" dialog for each of those data series.
