    Question About Slicers

Hi everyone. I have a slicer that is connected to two different pivot tables and works great. My question is there any way to format the slicer to be a search bar where you type in what in my case would be a store number or do I have to stick with the option of scrolling through all of the buttons?

    Re: Question About Slicers

There is no way you can "Search" for Slicer contents..

However, you can have multiple buttons on the slicer in one row. That will reduce your scrolling..

On the slicer options > Columns (Increase the number as required)

    Hope it helps..
    Cheers!

    Re: Question About Slicers

    Hi Kaplanj,

The slicer tool is just a different way of filtering. Instead of using a slicer, try to pull that field up to the filter box. Then you might do a dropdown on that box and get what you want. Supply a sample workbook of what you have and we can give a better answer.
