Hello, I recently conducted a survey for work and I am having a hard time figuring out how to show the data on a pivot table and in a visual chart. I've attached a fake chart to show what I am trying to do because I am not sure I can explain it well. I will try though.
This particular part of the survey has 2 main questions: Question 1 which is a straight forward question and answer scenario.
Question 2 is made up of 3 parts
Part 1 - The main question: Please indicate how often each of the following happen
Part 2 - The following options that they need to indicate the frequency of: Papers are submitted at the beginning, Papers are submitted at the middle, Papers are submitted at the end
Part 3 - The answers: all of the time OR some of the time OR none of the time
In the pivot table and chart I do not need to show Part 1. I do need to show Part 2 (all 3 options) and Part 3 (all indicated answers for each of part 2). Then I need to be able to filter or slice by Question 1.
How do I set up the pivot table and then chart to show Part 2 at the top in a row, Part 3 options on the side in a column, and the number of times that option was indicated?
I know I am doing something completely wrong. The way I have the tables set up doesn't make sense, but I literally have no idea what I should change.
