    Copying chart formats

I know you can create templates for charts, however if you have a lot of existing charts and you want to change the format of all of them, is there a way of copying formatting from one and transfer it to the others without having to go it to all the menus? Eg changing line graphs to bar graphs, adding in data labels in a particular size text etc.

    Re: Copying chart formats

I don't think what you want is directly possible.

However, if you save the one with the desired formatting as a template, you can use the "Change Chart Type" command (either from the ribbon or the tooltip) to apply that template to an existing chart.

So rather than, "copy formatting" and "paste formatting", it's more like: "save formatting as template" and then "apply template."

    Re: Copying chart formats

That's brilliant! Works perfectly, except for my axis need renaming but that's a small change compared to all the other changes I was going to have to make.
