    Refreshing data in powerpivot

What does refresh data do in powerpivot? I uploaded tables from an access file and created some calculated columns. Doesn't it refresh automatically. Does the refresh relate to original data? Like, if I needed to add more data in with the same format? Wouldn't I just reload the data, as opposed to refresh? Graciassy

Since you got the Excel 2013, just:

    ActiveWorkbook.Model.Refresh

That's not what I meant. I mean, what does refresh do?

    Exactly what Izandol said:

It will read again all files that you imported into PowerPivot
