How to get Powerpivot to include all data

    Hello,

How can I tell PowerPivot to make a Pivot Table from 5 different Excel Worksheets. I've added them all into the data model but I'm having a problem joining them. I even created a unique ID for each record but to no avail. I'm trying to make 1 big pivot table from all this data. Please help.

    Thanks,

Did you create the Pivot Table from the button on the PowerPivot ribbon (or inside the PowerPivot Window)?

If you use the button on the Instert Tab in the Tables pane, then it will try to create a "regular" PT.

Also, are these different workbooks, or sheets all in the same book? If it's all in the same book, then you could attach it so we can dig into it.

Thanks Ben. I created the PT from inside the PowerPivot Window. Without attaching my data, could you confirm that this is the way PP should work, i.e. being able to join tables based on a unique key?

PowerPivot can create one-to-one and one-to-many links (but not many-to-many). Microsoft has a tutorial on creating those (among other PP operations).
