Chart not changing to reflect data formatting

    Excel Help Forum2.xlsx

    Hi,

I have a table which automatically updates using a vlookup from a data validation list. There are two types of formatting in the vlookup. One is US Dollars and the other is a percentage.

For the table, i have created conditional formatting to reflect if the value is 100 and below, then turn to a percentage and if above, then to US Dollars.

The tables works correctly, but the grpah remains to show percentages and i can't igure out how to automatically change the formatting in the line graph to make sure it presents the correct format.

I have attached an example above

    thank you for your help

    Hello
Do away with the CF formatting from your data series and use Custom Number format, try:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

It should change formats correctly in the chart.

Re: Chart not changing to reflect data formatting

Glad to have helped. I didn't think to put the Accounting format into the example but you should be able to apply whatever format you require. Thanks for the Rep Mark.
