Limiting chart to use every other row of data

Hey guys, I hope this is a quick one.

I've built an Arduino based datalogger and I have it configured to record a measurement every 30 seconds.
While that interval is easy to change from one test to the next, i'd like to know how I can limit the number of rows used to generate the chart to every other, or every third row. (without deleting the data)
some of these tests run for days so being able to display the data at 1min, 10min, or any other interval would be really helpful.

You need to set up a set of formulas data that refers to your data and skips rows. See attached example. Update the highlighted number to indicate every nth row.

I would be interested in how you are charting your data. I've been trying to get a real-time chart with historical data to work, but so far no luck. I do have a chart that updates in real-time with data stream, but I can't figure out how to get it to show where the data has been previously.

I'm working in XP with Excel 2007
