Converting pivot row labels (months) to dates, creating a month time series

Using a pivot table I calculated average monthly values from daily values in a time series. The results look like this:

Row Labels Average of Value
2008
Aug 20.7
Sep 30.2
Oct 61.2
Nov 62.6
Dec 52.4

I would now like to turn the monthly averages results into a time series. The desired results would look like this:

Row Labels Average of Value
2008
Aug 20.7 1-Aug-2008
Sep 30.2 1-Sep-2008
Oct 61.2 1-Oct-2008
Nov 62.6 1-Nov-2008
Dec 52.4 1-Dec-2008
