Converting dates into months

Hi,

When I import data from our Peachtree data base into Excell, there is a column CUSTOMER SINCE. This colunm is filled with dates in the format mm/dd/yyyy

I do not need the exact date, but rather the month they've been a CUSTOMER SINCE.

What is the quickest way to have a CUSTOMER SINCE column filled with the JAN, FEB, MAR etc. instead of exact dates?

Select the Column. Then Format Cells > Custom > MMM
