Simple Way to update multiple pivot tables from one combo box?

    Hi,

I'm making a dashboard to summarise some athlete training data. I have a dashboard that includes some bar graphs, a radar chart and a table - these are all set up using multiple pivot tables on another tab.

At the moment, to update all of these charts, I need to change all the dates on the pivot table manually.

Is there any simple way I can add a combo box to the dashboard to select a date, which will then update all the pivot tables and therefore update the dashboard?

I'm a bit of a newbie so ideally something that doesn't involve me typing some code!

    Thanks

Take a look at Slicers. Click in the pivot table, then go to the ribbon and click Insert -> Slicer. Select the item you want to filter on. Then when the slicer appears, right click on it and select Report Connections. You should get a list of all pivot tables built off the same source data.

If the pivot tables are build off different data sources, then it will take some VB code. Will you be selecting a single date or multiple dates?

Please include a sample workbook with non-sensitive data, and we should be able to help you better.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

FYI, Excel 2011 doesn't have slicers IIRC, so it will require code.

I was taking a guess. Slicers came in with 2010 in Windows. In that case, we do need code and we do need a sample spreadsheet.
