Pivot chart/Table number changes everytime

hi guys ,
i need some urgent help.
how do i keep the Pivot table and chart number same. they seem to increment everytime new chart is created
i am writing a VBA macro and want them to stay constant..or may be they reset to "pivot table1","chart1"..
is it possible to keep them same?
i hope its not confusing
