Doughnut Chart, Different Ring Heights (Widths?)

    Hello,

I am wondering if anyone knows a way to modify the rings in a doughnut chart so it looks like the attached example image? By default, all rings are the same size. Modifying the doughnut hole size changes the ring sizes equally.

    Thank you!

You can not change the width of individual rings.

The only work around is to use multiple series for wider rings. You will of course be restricted to the width being a factor of the default width.

Depending on the required size of the chart you might also be able to use a bubble chart where the x and y point is the same for all points and the size variable changes. The maximum size of a bubble is not very large though.

What information is the thickness of the ring communicating?
    Cheers

    Thank you for the reply.

I eventually achieved the effect I was going for by creating an extra doughnut chart slightly larger and with a 0% doughnut hole size. I made the outer and inner rings transparent as well as the background. I layered it over the main chart and it worked well. Before that, I tried experimenting with multiple rings but the outlines seemed to be making it look wrong. Perhaps I didn't spend long enough tinkering with it. Thanks again!
