Chart difference between 2 of 3 series

In the attachment I want to display the difference between "This Month" and "Minimum" as a series in the chart.

I have created a secondary axis OK but it does not display the way we want it to. The yellow two-headed arrows show what we want to see - an representation of the data in the difference row that is displayed between the two data rows the difference applies to. I hope that makes sense!

Any pointers would be gratefully received.

My apologies, I was not aware this was ready to be revisited. Bumping back to the top was probably the best way to bring this back to my attention.

If I remember my response correctly, my first recommendation would be to visit this thread that suggests two possible solutions for adding those arrows. I suggested using custom error bars formatted as desired. Jon Peltier suggests a method that pastes arrows onto the up/down bars. I expect that either approach can be adapted to your scenario. Either of those approaches should eliminate the need for the column chart series and the secondary axis, too.

Unless there is something I am not understanding...

No problem. Thanks for your response and the link to John Peltier's great site. I looked there but wasn't sure what I was looking for. I won't have time to play around for a week or so but will let you know how I get on.

Thanks Mr Shorty!!! I have no math background and was not aware of error bars. You have expanded my knowledge and made my boss very happy. My thanks to Jon Peltier also. His web site is awesome for dabblers like me.
