    Showing Grand totals in a pivot chart

    Hi All,
    I would like to show the grand total values in pivot chart per attached. I'll appriciate your help how can i make this happen.

    Hi,

    You would need to create a calculated item which adds together Q1, Q2 and Q3. A pivot chart will never plot actual grand totals.

    As I said earlier you need to create a calculated item (not a calculated field) that adds the three quarters together.

    The specific steps would be as follows
    1. Select cell F2.
    2. Select the PivotTable Tools - Options tab in the ribbon.
    3. Click the Fields, Items and Sets dropdown and choose Calculated Item
    4. Enter a name- eg Totals and enter this formula
    = Q1+ Q2+ Q3
    5. Press OK
    6. Remove the Grand Total column from the pivot as it is now double counting.
