Hey folks,

I'm pretty new to Powerpivot and this whole calculation thing is beating me.

I have a data model with multiple tables linked with relationships. I'm creating a pivot table with account names on rows, daily dates in columns and I need to populate the pivot table date with the dialy costs billed to each account.

The calculation for the table is:

Hourly rate of the resource working the account x daily hours worked for that account. Both those data sources are in the tables in the data model.

Complicating things is the fact that multiple resources work the same accounts and I need to add sub rows to each account showing the base country of the resource (US, Brazil etc) and also the skill level (entry, intermediate etc) and have the calculationed costs broken down like that. If that wasn't enough, I may have perhaps 1 US expert plus 2 intermediate-level resources in Costa Rica all providing the resources together as a team. I don't need the individual resource cost, just the skill level for each location for each account.

I'm struggling to get my head round the calculation in basic excel, let alone how to pull it off in powerpivot!

Any and all help much appreciated,

Mark
