Hi andrugrasu,
Versions of Excel have different features. If you are using Excel 2003 you may not have the ability to do charts that Excel 2016 has. I know they have updated the Data Tab, Chart Tab and Solver in the newer versions of Excel.
See what was new in the 2013 version of Excel at: https://support.office.com/en-us/art...1-5688EF1392FD
Note also 2016 Excel has improvements over the 2013 product.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

i work with excel 2010 at my job. Firm policy. And i want to make that type of chart.
OK -
Did you save the Online Workbook to a real Excel workbook on your hard drive?
I've followed the tutorial and accomplished the whole demo. Some of the hints are:
1. You need to click on the chart itself to see the "Design" and "Format" tabs that deal with the selected chart.
2. After you are on the Chart > Design tab you need to click on the "Change Chart Type" icon. Then make sure you are the "All Charts" tab of this Dialog. Then click on the "Combo" in the left sidebar.
I hope this helps. NOTE - I'm using 2016 Excel and I don't know if the functions and/or icons are the same in 2010.
Problem is "Combo" chart type isn't in Excel 2010.
Hey andrugrasu,
Look at the following links You may be able to do "combo" type charts with older versions of Excel.

It looks like the secret is to create two different types of X axis.
