One Pivot from 2 Tables (each w/identical layout & headers) from 2 diff sheets

Hi Community.

I'm tasked to add a dashboard tab to an existing Workbook and I'm going to do this with Pivot Tables & Charts. The data set spans multiple years -each year on its own sheet but laid out in identically ordered & formatted tables. ie: All headers are exactly the same.

I'm not permitted to merge all data into one sheet and table - too much data- nor is Access or SQL an option. So I have to have my Dashboard Pivots reference multiple tables as if they were one.

How is this accomplished? I've got Excel 2013 and suspect using a cumulative Data Model might be the direction, but haven't done that before and am confused by the interface.

Hello,
Use the Power Query to merge data. The attached table is not placed in the sheet, only save as data connection. You can use this data as a data source for a pivot table.

Thanks! I'll give it a try. Haven't used Power Query yet, so I'm anxious to dive in. I'll post re: the result!
