Charting 24 hour days for each month with three criteria

    Hi;
I need to chart/graph admits, discharges in acute care along with emergency room census.
    Components:
    • 24 hours
    • 30-31 days(Monthly)
    • Number of discharges at a given time
    • Number of admits at a certain time
    • Number of ER visits at a certain time

The point is to see where the most activity is happening on what day and or time period to add staff if needed.

This attached spreadsheet is NOT the real data, but it has the titles of what I need.
I don't now how to set this up.

    Any suggestions?
I am familiar with pivot tables, if that is an option.

    THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
    This forum is amazing.

Your sample data shows one date entry for one time entry, which is not what I was expecting. I was expecting something with multiple 01 Jul entries (for example) at different times.

My first thought was to create a column (bar) chart with "time of day" along the horizontal (vertical) axis and "count of xxx at time of day" along the vertical (horizontal ) axis. If I ignore the date axis, I could see creating this chart based on columns B:E in the sample spreadsheet. If that is a correct interpretation of your sample data, then that makes sense to me.

If that is not a correct interpretation of the sample data, then figure out the correct "summary formulas" (or a pivot table) to get count of xxx at time of day for each "time of day", then chart that in a column (bar) chart.

Hmmmmm....I could try to take the date out and just do times.
    Let me try that.
    Thanks!
