I made a pivot chart and added below data table.

How to rotate the names of the variables of the X axis by 90 degrees?

Double click on one of the values to activate the field.
Click Home tab, Alignment group, Orientation (little button with "ab" and an arrow).

Thanks, but this button is grey, isn't clickable

After you click on the X-axis it is still grey? That's funny. You're sure it's not a protected chart/protected sheet?

Hi,

It appears that you have a data table showing underneath the axis, in which case you cannot alter the orientation.
