    Pivot Table from Multiple Tables

I have multiple tables with overlap in the column headings. They share customer name, customer ID, amount, and location but also have other columns that are not shared. I am trying to create a pivot table that will use the customer name as the row, the location as the column, and then a sum of the amount from all of the tables involved. As I try to add values from the different tables into the values box of the pivot table it is duplicating the column. Is what I seek possible?

Hi Eikonic and welcome to the forum,

It sounds like you are doing a Merge Query using Get & Transform. I think the column head needs to be the same (exact spelling) word for you to get your data together. See:

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Re: Pivot Table from Multiple Tables

I have four tabs which hold the four tables. I made an additional table where I manually combined the information to create a pivot table and then I pasted that table as values to show what the totals should be. Thank you.

    You can try with Ctrl+D+P
or (IMHO better way) use PowerQuery with Pivot/Unpivot options then PT

Re: Pivot Table from Multiple Tables

My computer has Sophos and it is closing excel every time I try a Power Query. I might be out of luck. It seems to think it is exposing my computer.

Every Antivir has Turn-Off option. Use it (if you afraid about something - disconnect from the net) then PQ, then PT, then Turn-On Antivir
