Any ideas how to redo this graph image? I know it's a stacked area graph. But how can you make it behave like an xy scatter plot (ladder-type)?

By making sure that you use dates (or days since starting ART) for the x axis data so that you can use a date axis for the horizontal axis. I would expect a data layout something like:
days since starting ART -- series 1 -- series 2 --...
0 -- 1 -- 0 --...
10 -- .99 -- .01 --...
...
800 -- .5 -- .2 --...
and so on[/code]
There will probably be some tinkering around to get used to the date axis options and to tinker around until you get something you like. This may help: https://support.office.com/en-us/art...2-c1d23c96d650
That should get you started. Let us know what you have trouble with.

In order to fill the areas below and between the series, you will need to create a stacked area chart to combine with the XY scatter chart (so your attempt to use the XY scatter in order to avoid the stacked area chart has failed).
