Time not in proper format in pivot table

    Hi All,

I have a col in excel sheet named Time and it contains data in Hours,Min and sec format.

When I am creating a pivot and selecting the time col so automatically two new col are getting included in the pivot cols named Mins and hours.

I am confused how that can happen .Usually whatever cols we will have in the excel sheet those cols only will be in the pivot col list also but here the situation is diffrent.

Also when i select only one of the cols like time only then full time in hours,Mins and secs is not showing in pivot.I think some formatting problem.

Pls suggest how to get the full time in the pivot after selecting only one col ie time

    Regards,
    Deeps

Re: Time not in proper format in pivot table

    Hi

The main issue appears to be formatting of the original data set. Change the format for hours to be Time then reenter times in the format 11:00:00 PM.
This will enable the time to reflect as you want it. You may also need to reformat the pivot table column to Time.

Hope this helps. If you still have issues upload a copy of your pivot table.

    Cheers
