Slicer to control table and pivot table

    Hello

I have a worksheet on which I have a pivot table and second table filled with vlookup data (coming from multiple workbooks).
To filter my pivot table I use a slicer. I would like to use this slicer to filter the vlookup table.
Two seperate slicers (filled with the same data) works fine, but it's a bit silly to see the identical slicers.

    Any solutions?

    Thanks
    Chris

Here is something that might work. Put a slicer on both the table and the pivot table. Designate the one on the pivot table as the master slicer and the one on the table as the subordinate slicer (see code). Hide the subordinate slicer if you wish by setting its height to zero or by moving it to another sheet. In the attached workbook, the yellow slicer is the master and the blue is the subordinate.

The master slicer fires off the code using a PivotTableUpdate event.

    Hi dflak

Thanks for your reply. It does the job perfectly.
Silly question perhaps: I set the subordinate slicer height to 0, so it's no longer visible. How do I get it visible again?

Re: Slicer to control table and pivot table

Hi, I know this is an old post but hopefully my question still gets seen. When I try to do this it doesn't work. I've copied the exact VBA code (except changed the slicer names) in both the module and then also on the worksheet to call the module but it isn't working. When I try to run the module on its own I get "application-defined or object-defined error". Any ideas of what I am doing wrong? Please help!
