make a graph containing date and timestamp

    Hi,

A little Climategrapher logs date/time, temperature, humidity and the dewpoint in my basement. I'm trying to make a graph from that data. Unfortunately, i can't get the horizontal axis to display the date/time.

The data is like this (there is a tab between the entries, the timestamp consists out of the date and time):

    Timestamp TI RHI DEWI
    2017-12-01 20:25:00 20,0 56 11,0
    2017-12-01 20:26:00 20,2 55 10,9
    2017-12-01 20:27:00 20,2 54 10,6

Any clues how to format the timestamp in a way that Excel can make a graph out of it?

    Kind Regards,
    Melkman

First column shall be date/time for excel. If it is not you may want to select this column and use Data -> Text_to_columns tool and then select coulmn and show it is YMD format.

It may be better idea to use line (not scatter) plot type, and then in axis formatting select Date type axis.

Thumbs up Re: make a graph containing date and timestamp

    Hi Kasper,

Thanx for your response! Nice to see that it is possible to make the graph, exactly the way i want it to be!!

Unfortunately, it seems i can't repeat the process myself :-(

I'm working with the same data-set, but probably, i'm missing some kind of setting or preference (hoping that the mac-version is the same as the windows version)
Would you be so kind to elaborate on how you created the graph? The formatting of the x-axis is still a mystery...

    Kind Regards,
    Erik/Melkman
