PLEASE HELP! Trying to combine 2 Pivot Tables

I have 1 set of data. I need a piviot table with a subtotal within a subtotal. I have just been copying and pasting for years and want to know if this is the only way. This has private information on it and I can't hand the book to anyone. I took screenshots though hopefully they help?
I have this data sorted by employee name.

How I want it to be:
Totaled per department, by full name, by earning code. then below all the employees within the departments I want a total of all the earning codes by department.
I currently am taking the first pivot table and pasting in a report tab. then taking the second pivot table and pasting within that report. I have to do this for every pay period. Is there a way to in put the subtotals from the second pivot chart into the first pivot chart so I don't have to do this. It is also for 4 different facilities. UGH!

no sorry, I can get to that point. But in the sheet you sent me under say the assisant activities where there are multiple employees I was them summarized per that DET code. And i need that after every department. I want it how it is on the report tab. But for me to get there I have a lot of copy and pasting to do.

In the spread sheet I sent I take the Main PT paste into the report tab. Then I take the code PT and paste inside that on the report tab. essecentially I would just like a Pivot table to do that for me if possible so I dont have to copy and paste every other week.

Sorry I am terrible at explaining things. I am only pulling data from one table. I just can't get the Pivot table to do two subtotals. Right now I have the data in the data tab. I have a Piviot table pulling data from that which is the main PT tab. Then I have a code PT tab and that is a Pivot table pulling from the same data just subtotaling different. If you look at the Report tab I have took the main PT and copy and pasted it here. And then for each department I go there and copy those subtotals and past into the report tab within the main PT data. I hope this helps.

To really summarize, I have the Pivot Tables done and the Report tab is how I really want the data to look. So I am looking for a way to get the Pivot table to give me the results that are in the report tab. It would seem the only way is to have a pivot table and insert another pivot table into it. But I don't think you can get a pivot table to insert into another pivot table. On the report tab I have the info I need just tired of copy and pasting every pay period for 4 different clients.

so simply you want create two different PivotTables from the same single source table?

no sorry, I have two pivot tables now. I want 1 single pivot table. Like I have made two pivot tables from the single data and copy and pasted them together creating one report. I would like to just have a pivot table look exactly like that report tab. If you scroll down on the report tab you can see I have added a subtotal of the codes at then end of each department. that is where I ahve pasted the Code PT pivot table under the Main PT Pivot table.

If I could get the first Pivot TAble to add the subtotals of the codes to it as shown in the last pic here on the report tab that would be great! if it can be done.

The main is subtotaled by department by employee by code. The code is summarized by department by code. The only way I know to input the code subtotals in there is by just copy and pasting it all together which is what I am doing now. But it is all from one set of data.

but I need subtotal's on two different things... I need it to subtotal ber employee per department and I also at the end of that want the codes to subtotal per department.

also on the main PT I have the codes set to subtotal but its putting it at the end. So it is taking every sinvle code and subtotaling at the end. I need it to subtotal per department. So all the code in RN will subtotal, all the codes in LPN will subtotal.

I just figured out I could have each department as a pivot table and then sum the codes but I would still have to copy and paste into one big report. I tried lining them up but when you go to add a new pay period with a new employee the pivot tables can't overlap so I would have to continusly move them.
