Need help in Charting "time" in excel

Guys I have this problem.

I need help in putting the time interval into chart

say in cell A1 I put date and time started "19/03/2018 5:00:00 PM""
in cell A2 I put date and time finished "20/03/2018 5:00:00 AM"
then I computed for the time interval in cell A3 "=text(A2-A1, "h") which will give me a value of 12

now here comes my problem. I can't seem to put the value "12" in a graph or chart because excel does not recognized it as a value. is there any way for me to make this readable by excel's graph or chart?

maybe: =--text(A2-A1, "h")

	A	B	C
1	19/03/2018 09:00	12	=--TEXT(A2-A1,"h")
2	19/03/2018 21:00

Can you attach a workbook showing more sample data and what you might be trying to achieve?

Good day sirs. I accidentally found out what was wrong with my excel and on why it is not being read by the graph of excel.

Apparently, I have made the resulting hours follow a cell format of "h:mm:ss" instead of "h"
