    Calculated Field/Item or PowerPivot

    Greetings,

Trying to determine the best course of action to get the results I need. Is it possible to use calculated field/item to create a field in my pivot table to do the following:

Take number from Jan 2017(column b) and subtract it from Jan 2018(column c), then multiply it? I am trying to create a PivotChart that would show 2017 vs 2018 usage and then create a secondary axis for savings. The calculated field would be the savings part. If so, I'm not entirely sure how the formula would look like.

If this is not possible in a normal pivot table, I'm guessing I need to use powerpivot? Thanks for the help.

I modified some fields as it had pricing data and I didn't want to post that. If you have any questions about the data let me know.

For example, using Power Query. See if it can be that way?
I see that the EX version does not have PQ. So, do the same for the data in the "dATA" worksheet

Not quite what I'm looking for. I reattached the file and added what I need on Sheet 6/Column E. Is it possible to find the difference between quantity
ordered between 2017 and 2018, then multiply it by a number? I know it's possible outside of the pivot table like I have done, but making it a
calculated field or part of the pivot table would be preferred.

    Re: Calculated Field/Item or PowerPivot

that is how much money we would save per purchase. so for example if we bought 50 eaches in 2017 and 45 in 2018, then it would be =(50-45)*60.978.
