Column chart/histogram - exact same data and formatting, two different charts

I'm modifying a histogram graph to read from different cells. When I attempt to rebuild the chart with the same data and same formatting, it results in a different graph. Any idea why this is so?

When I was working just two hours ago, I got the chart on the left. Now I get the chart on the right. I used the same values, then used copy formatting.

How do I get Excel to read the 1,2,3,4 as categories and not values? I want to apply the same formatting as my previous histograms.

It's plotting the bins as another series, which is the default if the data is numeric and the top left cell of the range is not empty. You can simply delete that series, or delete the word Bins, create the chart, then put the word back.
