Pivot Chart Axis not Formatting Properly

First, let me apologize if this is an all too simplistic issue but it's driving me nuts!
I have a pivot table and chart see below:

I am trying to get the X-axis to format in the same fashion as the data MMM-YY.
I've tried changing the axis to TEXT and no go.

The data are DATES and I'm just trying to modify the format in the X-axis...

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!

I am copying this reply by RoryA, to a similar question (format to mmm-yy on chart) on a different site: "If you format the dates in the pivot table by altering the Field Settings for the date field, then the chart should reflect that. (if you did it using the Format Cells dialog, then the chart will not match)"
If this doesn't help then I would suggest uploading a sample of the workbook from which the screen shot is taken.
To upload a sample workbook click on the GO ADVANCED button below the Quick Reply window and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
